He received his MD from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He also completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. He practiced Emergency Medicine for over 10 years before completing a residency in Anesthesiology and a fellowship in Pain Medicine at UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX. He maintains board certification with the American Board of Medical Specialties in all three specialties.

He uses a combination of treatments to treat pain in a multidisciplinary fashion, utilizing pain relieving procedures such as nerve blocks, joint injections, steroid injections, epidural injections, rhizotomies, and neuromodulation; he works with physical therapists and pain counselors; He manages medications emphasizing a combination of effectiveness and safety.
